An eight-year-old orphan girl met a tragic end in Islamabad after being abducted while on her way to a madrasa (religious school), Express News reported. According to details, the body of the young victim, identified as Fatima Mazhar, was found near Naswar Chowk within the jurisdiction of the Sumbal police station. The little girl had gone missing in the evening the day before, triggering a search that ended in a heart-rending discovery. The girl had recently visited her grandmother in Chiniot prior to the tragic incident. The police sources suggested that the girl was strangled to death. The body has been sent to a hospital for post-mortem examination. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari has formed a special team for inquiry and ordered the DPO to conduct a complete investigation and submit a report. The DIG also issued strict instructions to arrest the accused.
